Fine food, stunning sunsets, relaxing music, cocktails and dancing under the stars – Grand Cayman’s Ports of Call at The Wharf has it all.
Grand Cayman's Ports of Call Seaside Bar at The Wharf Restaurant is a long-time Cayman Islands favorite with both visitors and locals alike, where guests at one of the most famous restaurants in Seven Mile Beach can enjoy spectacular cocktails and delicious tapas made using the freshest ingredients while watching the sunset over the Caribbean Sea.
Ports of Call highlights begin with a daily Happy Hour from 4 pm to 7 pm where guests enjoy the afternoon and pre-sunset cocktails with evocative names like Juniper Cooler and Midnight Dream, or sample one of the most comprehensive Cayman Islands wine lists.
It is well established that music for relaxing and dancing go hand in hand with fine outdoor dining at The Wharf’s Ports of Call: Every Tuesday there are free instructor-led salsa lessons at 9.30 pm with salsa queen Quiana, ably assisted by DJ Flex spinning a stellar collection of Latin hits.
Three nights a week (changes weekly) at 6 pm, Port of Call’s resident harpist is the perfect accompaniment to aperitifs, enjoyed with the backdrop of a glorious Caribbean sunset at the most famous seaside bar in the Cayman Islands. The soothing and gentle sounds of the harp continue throughout dinner until 10 pm.
As the weekend approaches, the pace picks up: The Wharf’s famous Boogie Night disco party takes place on the last Friday of the month from 9.30 pm and is a popular event with locals and visitors who enjoy a good boogie to their favorite disco music from the 70s and 80s curated by Wharf regular DJ Flex 345 from local station Kiss 106.1 FM.
Saturday night is band night, currently featuring the live music of local band Barefoot Man With Sea N’ B from 8 pm to 11 pm.
While many diners may go for the fine food, the outdoor waterside ambiance, the spectacular sunsets, for many visitors, especially kids, the highlight of dinner at The Wharf would be the resident Indo-Pacific tarpon in the shallow water surrounding this famous Cayman Islands restaurant. These large fish are habituated to humans feeding them and gather in large numbers prior to feeding times, every evening at 7 pm and 9 pm.
Ports of Call is open daily for dinner from 5 pm to 10 pm. For reservations call +1 (345)-949-2231 or email info@wharf.ky
